07:30 am Depart Bangkok head to Ayutthaya historical city. Learn more Ayutthaya history during your journey with your tour guide. Ayutthaya thrives today but only as a country town and the prevailing atmosphere is a far cry from the regal splendor, pageantry and cosmopolitan air than once pervaded the site. Nevertheless, there are sufficient ruins, now preserved as a UNESCO world heritage site, to capture the imagination. First visit Wat Chai Wattanaram, One of the most visited historical sites of Ayutthaya. The temple was ordered to built in 1630 A.D. by King Prasat Thong to honor his mother, f eaturing the architectural style influenced by Angkor temple in Cambodia. Then Wat Lokayasutha assumed that it was built in the early Ayutthaya period. This temple has the largest reclining buddha image in the island city of Ayutthaya. Enshrined outdoor with 42 meters long and 8 meters high. And visit Wat Phra Srisanphet was a royal temple, no monks lived inside and was used by king and royal family only and the holiest temple on the site of the old royal palace of Ayutthaya. It was the grandest and most beautiful temple in Ayutthaya. Main attractions of this temple are big three chedis (Ceylonese style stupa). The terrace of the chedis and mondops was surrounded with a cloister (Phrarabieng) at the middle of temple and also surrounded with many smaller ceylonese style stupas. Then visit Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit, This wihan houses the Phra Mongkon Bophit Buddha image, one of Thailand’s biggest bronze buddha image, and one of the few statues to survive the sacking of Ayutthaya by the Burmese armies in 1767. the image may have been first constructed in the early Ayutthaya period as it bears traces of Sukhothai influence, a style that rose to prominence during the reign of King Borom Trailokanath (r. 1448-88).  The last temple on this trip Mahathat temple, Wat Mahathat was one of the oldest and most significant temples in the history of Ayutthaya as it housed the Buddha’s holy relic. One of the temple ‘s most photographed object is the head of a sand-stone buddha image entwined with the roots of a tree. Enjoy having lunch at good local Thai restaurant, after lunch enjoy shopping and free time at Ayothaya Floating Market .
